In Houston, Jaguar added industry veteran Roberto Garcia as Director of Business Development. “His decades of experience,” notes Jaguar President Julio Jimeno, “add a lot of reach to our customer relationship-building worldwide – but it’s of particular value to us in México and Latin America.”

Garcia has been involved with substantial projects for ChevronTexaco and ConocoPhillips in the US and Latin America, as well as with NOCs such as Pemex and Ecopetrol. He has worked in diverse geological settings globally, including his native Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil and Perú; as well as in the US, Southwest Asia and the Middle East.

His long-term relationship with Phillips alone spans more than 25 years.

Garcia is a member of AAPG, the Houston Geological Society and SPWLA. He will be working on customer development programs that encompass every region in which Jaguar operates.

In Perú, one of Jaguar’s QC/HSE advisors, Constantino Perez, presented an overview of social responsibility in seismic exploration to a conference organized by Geokinetics, Inc., in Lima.

He participated, along with speakers from regional organizations as well as Pluspetrol (Perú’s largest oil & gas producer) by addressing the key subject during Geokinetics’ third week of concentrated attention on the subject of HSE in oil exploration.

Perez has spent 20 years monitoring and reporting HSE activities, managing and supervising contractor’s HSE programs. His experience includes projects for clients such as Pemex, IPC, MPG, BP, Astra, Occidental, Hocol, YPF, Ecopetrol and Shell.
